If you’re a woman in business in the Worcester, MA area, you may know Allison Hale. She’s the amazing lady behind a series of networking events for women in the area which includes her big yearly event, Ladies Night Out Worcester. She does so much more. I’ll be writing about her again.
I’m a member of the Nuance Networking group (LOVE! Highly recommend.) and that’s how I know Allison.
It was at the latest Nuance group meeting, via Zoom, that we all started talking about the additional challenges being faced by small business owners during this pandemic.
Some of the challenges
From Allison: “I want you all to know that I started with myself….choosing to shop locally as much as possible. During this process I have found that it’s not always easy to determine:”
- Who is open?
- If they are open, what are their hours?
- What services/products are available?
- How do I order? Is it by web, email, facebook, in person?
- Is there delivery or curbside pickup?
Meanwhile, I had many of the same concerns and this website in development. This site is/was going to be a celebration of women in our community who are working hard every day to make Worcester better.
Allison and I decided it was a natural fit to collaborate to make an online space that helps promote local businesses. So, here we are.
Please take a moment to fill out this form if you are interested in being featured on the site. The information you provide will be used to produce profiles about your business which we will then promote through social media.
This is just a first phase of this project. We have a lot of stuff in planning phases and I can’t wait to share it with you.
