My goal with this series is to share the work of Worcester-area women who are producing and publishing work. I’ll be featuring writers, podcasters, film/video and photographers.
Read their stuff. Watch their stuff. Buy their stuff.
Let’s Get To It
In this installment I’ve got two publications that you need to follow so you know what’s going on and two that you need to help you unwind. All four are badasses that you should be reading, following, and supporting.
Tracy Novick: Education Blogger
If you are involved in education in Massachusetts in any way – parent, teacher, administrator, or member of the community – you need to be following Tracy. Her Twitter feed and blog have always been constantly updated with what’s going on.
- “Whos of Who-cester – blogging on education in Worcester, in Massachusetts, and in America”

Jia Li: Mindfulness Video Blogger
Jia Li, owner of Tea Tell Truth, has a beautiful YouTube channel where she’s posting videos showing how to enjoy tea and teaching about mindfulness. Reducing stress and taking care of ourselves is so important. Jia can help you learn some ways to do that.
Katie Crommett: Artist / Author
Katie Crommett has a Master of Arts in Integrative Health and Healing and is a Certified Zentangle Teacher®. She has created a Mandala Coloring Book to help everyone relax through doing art.
Cara Berg Powers: Worcester Beacon Writer / Co-creator
Cara Berg Powers is one of several people who are producing the Worcester Beacon, a new independent publication in Worcester. They’re covering a wide range of topics that are important to the community. It’s quickly grown into a great source of locally generated content.
That’s it for this installment. I have a lot of other things to share with you but I want to give you time to read and listen to the women who’s work I share. Enjoy!
